🌻 Fields of Gold
Good morning, Kodiak Crossing. As I was wandering on the outskirts of our quaint town this morning, I found myself gazing upon a spectacle of sunflowers. A silent army of golden faces turned towards the daystar, as if in a dutiful salute. What a sight they were, and what a sight they continue to be.
Sunflowers, these magnificent floral giants of our landscape, have their own wisdom to share, an age-old tale of devotion and loyalty. Isn't it something to behold, how they wake up each day, and instead of questioning the world, they simply turn their faces towards the sun? Their radiant heads, heavy with seeds, always looking at the bright side, quite literally.
These glorious sun-worshippers are more than just symbols of unwavering loyalty to the sun. They also represent constancy in our own lives, the very definition of a steady and reliable presence. Like true friends who stick with us through thick and thin, or the love of family that keeps us grounded no matter how far we venture.
It's humbling and, in a way, empowering. Just like the sunflower, we too can choose to focus on the light in our lives, on the positives, on the sources of warmth and nourishment. And in doing so, maybe we can turn a blind eye to the shadows that occasionally pass over us.
Take it from the sunflowers, folks. No matter where you're planted, you have the choice to turn towards the light, to exhibit unwavering loyalty to the brightness in your life. Even when the skies are gray, remember to seek out the sun.
As a man named Stevenson once wrote, 'Keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you.' Now, let's welcome the morning with Elton John's 'Good Morning Freedom.' Enjoy the day, Kodiak Crossing.
