πΉ The Dream Fling
Good morning, Kodiak Crossing! It's Callie at Dawn on KWAC, 890 on your AM dial. Today, I want to share a dream I had last night, a dream that struck a chord in the depths of my soul.
In the dream, I stood in a vast field, and there it was - a massive trebuchet, a relic from medieval times, poised and ready. Next to it was a grand piano, its ebony and ivory keys gleaming in the sun. I watched as the piano was carefully placed on the trebuchet, and with a mighty heave, it was launched into the air. The piano soared, its graceful arc a sight to behold, reaching for the heavens, only to return to the earth with a final, thunderous crash.
As I awoke, I found myself reflecting on the dream's meaning. Perhaps it was a metaphor for our ambitions, our dreams, and the ways we strive to reach them. We launch ourselves into the unknown, seeking to touch the sky, knowing that we will inevitably fall back to earth. The journey may be brief, but it's in that moment of flight, that brief suspension in the air, that we find our purpose, our meaning.
Or perhaps the dream was about the beauty of music and its power to transport us to other realms. The piano, as it flew through the air, was like a song, a melody that resonates with our hearts and carries us away, if only for a moment.
I'm reminded of a quote from the poet Khalil Gibran: "Your daily life is your temple and your religion. Whenever you enter into it take with you your all." Each day, we have the chance to fling ourselves into our dreams, our passions, and our pursuits. Like the piano in my dream, we can reach for the skies, unburdened by the limits of the ordinary.
So, as you go about your day, Kodiak Crossing, remember to take your all with you. Embrace your dreams, your ambitions, and let them lift you to new heights. And with that thought, I leave you with a song that captures the spirit of dreams and the beauty of music. Here's "Rocket Man" by Elton John.
